July, 2020

Beloved of the Lord,
The months of June and July have been mostly traveling to and fro – God has sent me forth as the apostle once again—my first time into Salt Lake City & Delta, Utah and as I write this I am on a plane headed to Oklahoma. For years Oklahoma has been very good and supportive to this ministry. What joy as our Lord pours forth HIS Holy Spirit, upon family, friends, and total strangers as only HE can do – touching, healing, and giving of HIS gifts freely.

God’s people are crying out to HIM – Knowing that unless the LORD builds, protects and heals, they that labor, labor in vain. (Psalm 127:1 paraphrase). As we place our faith in Christ Jesus, HE leads us, and expresses HIMSELF in love to hurting people, and GOD’s love builds the leaders.

I have found many church leaders to be disheartened, discouraged and weary. Numbers are way down, so therefore the churches are in financial need. The leaders and people are hurting. I found many pastors continuing to operate without complaining or grumbling even though needs are great. They are putting their whole trust in the LORD! Church doors are closing, and yet, housing can’t be built fast enough.

MY precious FAMILY AND friends.  I do believe we are living in Psalm 61:1-5, 8 NLT:
“O God, listen to my cry! Hear my prayer! From the ends of the earth, I cry to you for help when my heart is overwhelmed.” (For some of you, the words of Psalm 69:1 may express your thoughts more clearly, “Save me, O God, for the floodwaters are up to my neck”) But our prayer and testimony is always, “Lead me to the towering rock of safety, for you are my safe refuge, a fortress where my enemies cannot reach me. Let me live forever in your sanctuary, safe beneath the shelter of your wings! For you have heard my vows, O God. You have given me an inheritance reserved for those who fear your name… Then I will sing praises to your name forever as I fulfill my vows each day.”

Thank you again and again to our TV family and to our Forgiven Church for all you give and make possible through HIM!

Dear Children of God,

Our America!! What can we say? How can we as Christians, make this a better place for our children and grandchildren?

Once America was known as “the melting pot.” It was a place where a variety of races and cultures came together to form a cohesive whole.  My thoughts were never filled with fear as I packed my car in Florida, drove to Kentucky, and exchanged my summer clothes for winter clothes. I drove west from Kentucky to Oklahoma, over a 1000 miles just God and me. After having many revivals there, I drove north through Kansas, Wyoming, and into Montana, where the American Indians welcomed me and Holy Spirit revival. I felt safe!

Leaving Montana, I drove westward across Idaho to Washington state. The people there welcomed me with open arms. After several meetings and a period of resting, I repacked suitcases, exchanging once again winter clothes for summer clothes, and boarded a plane for Hawaii.  After being in Hawaii about two months, I was on a plane to the Philippines. Once again, I was welcomed with open arms. Never once did I feel fearful.

As I write this letter to you – this was once the America I knew – the peaceful America. Prayer partners, let us stop, and pray what the word says, “For we know that the whole of creation groans and travails in pain together… and not only they, but ourselves also… if we hope for that we see not, do we with patience wait for it?” (Rom 8:22-25) What it are you waiting for?

“Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit himself makes intercession… for the saints according to the will of God.” (Rom 8:26-27) Isn’t it comforting to know our LORD is interceding for us? “What then shall we say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?”… Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?” (Rom 8:31, 35) The answer: NO ONE and NO THING!!

April, 2020

Have you ever had “woe is me” times? We struggle, “Have we pleased our LORD?”

This morning, I re-read Deut 3:23: Moses is nearing the end of his life and recounting once again the history of Israel’s relationship with the Lord. He tells them, “Then I pleaded with the Lord at that time…” Oh, how my heart aches for Moses, even as my heart aches for those of you who are also going through troublesome times. We too plead with the LORD, “Oh LORD GOD...”

Now, I write this not to say, “Woe is me (Velma), but to be honest with you; I also have been in a great battle. For instance, one ran into my car and totaled it. I purchased another and it had serious problems.

My home in Kentucky of 42 years, sold. I watched as my furniture was loaded on a truck and stored in a storage unit just a short time after open heart surgery.

It could be tempting to settle into despondency or depression, but God has called and ordained you and me as Christians to be leaders in our world. Therefore we must choose to rise above and beyond these serious problems!

“Moses,” when I read of you, “my heart grieves for you! After ministering all those years; listening to the complaints of so many; fighting battles with enemies; yet, when you were so close to the Promised Land – you remained alone. You pleaded with God, “…let me go over and see the good land that is beyond the Jordan, that good hill country and Lebanon…” But God said, “No.” (Deut 3:25-27)

Only God was with Moses. You’ve been there, and I am there, feeling so “alone.” Let us pray one for another. We need each other! This is no time for Christians to be disagreeing.

The LORD could have said to Moses, its over, I don’t want you anymore. Moses had now finished his purpose, but the tremendous hope for Moses and us… “but from there (the troubles and exile) you will seek the LORD your GOD , and you will find HIM if you search for HIM with all your heart and soul.” (Deut 4:7-29)…

February, 2020
As I sit here in this room resting and recovering, spending time alone with my precious Lord, I realize how blessed and loved I am. I’m overwhelmed by all the beautiful cards and uplifting letters from so many of God’s people! Just knowing the prayers going up worldwide before our Father on my behalf is so very heart warming and encouraging. So much overflowing love!  Please allow me to share a few excerpts with you.

  • Ma Velma May our good Lord continue to heal you in the Precious name of Yeshua Hamashiach. – Zeoma

God declares to you: “How precious are my thoughts toward you…Allow My Holy Spirit to shake off the dust of painful words that caused much bruising. I made you a light to bring forth salvation, healings, and deliverance; because of your faithfulness, you have blessed multitudes. Oh, I have examined your heart. My workmanship is excellent in you! I watch over you--be not afraid--be not discouraged, disheartened, for trials will come; but as I overcame so will you. Every moment I cover you with My love and My safe keeping. I AM your Watchman!”
Lord, I cry out to You:  Control my lips. I cry for mercy. Rescue me--protect me--keep me--You are my God! As I meditate upon the past and the way You brought me forth, I can truthfully say:  God You rescued me--God You protected me--God You kept me.…
