MESSAGE OF THE MONTH: |
|
Thanksgiving is a special time of the year to be with family and friends; it is also a blessed time to give thanks to our Lord for bringing us to this harvest. I give thanks to God for you, your letters, prayers and financial support. I thought of you as I studied these Scriptures and prayed this morning:
“For we (together) are the sweet fragrance of Christ unto God…an aroma from life to life – a vital fragrance, living and fresh...” This next verse is what I pray for all our ministries. Paul asked the question: “Who is able for such a ministry? (We?) For we are not, like so many—peddling God’s Word—short-measuring and adulterating the divine message; but as (those ) of sincerity and the purest motive, commissioned and sent by God, we speak in Christ, the Messiah, in the sight and presence of God. (II Cor. 2:15-17). This verse speaks clearly of who and what I desire to be for God and you.
The month of Oct. was a month of travel – driving 2500 miles from Kentucky and ministering throughout Oklahoma, starting in the east to the far southwest to the northwest – residing in the homes of many dear friends, preaching the glorious Gospel, watching our Lord perform signs and miracles as He honored His Word. From OK through the two-lane, very crooked roads of the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas, I traveled to Missouri, where pastors and friends awaited my coming. God was my constant companion watching over me. Your tithes and offerings helped me reach out to hundreds of people, to fill and re-fill the gas tank over and over. Allow me to brag on God and His people: in this long journey, I only paid for two meals! When I left my friends’ homes, they would give me food for the day’s journey.
May I share with you these immediate needs of the ministry? Please pray and help me get this equipment to spread God’s Word. |
